  • OWNER/NURSE PRACTITIONER

    Whitney is a licensed Nurse Practitioner with a combined 10+ years of ICU nursing experience & a Master’s degree as an acute care nurse practitioner.

    Whitney spent the majority of her nursing career in the cardiovascular surgical ICU and continued on with her nurse practitioner degree transitioning into a Neurocritical ICU practitioner role. Whitney further advanced her practitioner skills by completing her initial Neurotoxin and Filler certification with Med Aesthetics training in Raleigh, NC along with multiple additional advanced trainings in neurotoxin and filler injections. She also adds additional skills to her service line such as dermaplaning, microneedling + PRP, and superficial/deep chemical peels.

    Outside of work, you can find Whitney spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, & mini golden doodle. She enjoys golfing, staying active with outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Meet Whitney D, a dedicated registered nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing degree and over 8 years of acute care experience in emergency departments across the nation. In 2023, she discovered her passion for aesthetics after attending the Pacific Northwest Aesthetics Academy in Portland, Oregon. There, she received comprehensive training in medical skincare, neuromodulators, fillers, Microneedling, and PRP. Following her training she pursued an aesthetic mentorship while living in Denver, Colorado this past year.

    Now, Whitney has returned to the Wilmington area, and we are thrilled to welcome her as the newest member of Wave Aestehtics! She brings exceptional skills, knowledge, and dedication as an aesthetic injector.

    Outside of her professional commitments at the med spa and emergency department, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog Sadie Mae! She leads an active lifestyle through reading, traveling, skiing, and most recently has taken on learning to scuba dive!

  • LICENSED ESTHETICIAN

    Sophie is an experienced licensed esthetician from Wilmington, NC. She has a deep passion for treating acne and compromised skin. She gained vast knowledge and valuable skills after graduating from the CFCC Esthetics program.

    Outside of work Sophie enjoys skiing, traveling, playing soccer, and enjoying the beach or boating with friends and family.
